Hi, I am Mx. Steph Ostrow (they/them/theirs), I am the founder of Medicine Within LLC. I am a Mental Health Counselor Licensed in Florida (MH20830), Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC00018867), and Oregon (C7510).

I use an eclectic mix of evidence based & intuitive therapeutic tools to support Queer folx through healing & self discovery. I use a holistic approach grounded in Queer theory, inclusive feminism, anti racism, and a systems based lens to help people better understand and express themself and navigate their world. I specialize in LGBTQPIA2S+/Queer affirming care; I offer sexuality and gender affirming care to LGBTQPIA2S+/Queer individuals and relationships. I work with people who are experiencing life changes/adjustments, are neurodiverse, experience anxiety, mild to moderate depression, post traumatic stress disorder, and identity exploration & development.

I have training in body centered counseling and somatic practices, I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist and 500 hr Yoga Teacher. In counseling and coaching my approach is eclectic and specialized to meet you where you are; I have training in and utilize Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy, Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and Person Centered therapy. These modalities are evidence based treatments to support people experiencing symptoms of anxiety, mild to moderate depression, post traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, and identity development to name a few.
